Nancy Carmona is teaching Public Health Research (PH 425) at San Francisco State University in the Spring of 2023 and is also currently a doctoral candidate in the Department of Environmental & Occupational Health Sciences at the University of Washington. Her research interests include community-engaged research, environmental health education, environmental justice, and environmental epidemiology. Nancy holds a BS in Environmental Toxicology from the University of California, Davis, and an MPH in Community Health Education from San Francisco State University. During her doctoral work, Nancy investigated the association between exposure to ambient air pollution and cognition in older adults, the benefit of using portable air cleaners in schools, and led a community-engaged air monitoring project in the Puget Sound. In her free time, Nancy enjoys exploring the outdoors with her partner and their two dogs, Charles and Bailey.
