Nancy Carmona
Nancy Carmona is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Health. Her research interests include community-engaged research for environmental justice, environmental health education, and environmental epidemiology. She holds a BS in Environmental Toxicology from the University of California at Davis, MPH in Community Health Education from San Francisco State University, and PhD in Environmental and Occupational Hygiene from the University of Washington School of Public Health. Her past work includes investigating exposure to air pollution and cognition among older adults, portable air cleaner interventions in schools, and community-engaged air monitoring in Washington state. As a first-generation Mexican American, she strives to connect and support historically underserved students.
