Maia Feinman-Welcher

Maia is a Research Associate in the Social, Environmental and Policy Influences on Health Research Lab (SoEPI), within the Department of Public Health at San Francisco State University. She earned a Master of Public Health Degree from the same institution, where she gained valuable experience as a graduate student intern at the Health Equity Institute and as a Graduate Research Assistant in the SoEPI lab. After earning her MPH, Maia worked as a Program Coordinator in the department before returning to the SoEPI lab as a Research Associate. Driven by commitment to health equity and interest in evidence-based policy change, Maia is dedicated to improving health outcomes for marginalized communities, particularly through research related to food systems and healthcare access. Maia is committed to contributing to research that advances understanding of the social and environmental factors shaping health, and that informs efforts to reduce health inequities.
