Maia Feinman-Welcher

Biography

Maia is currently serving as Program Coordinator within the Department of Public Health at San Francisco State University. She earned her Master of Public Health Degree from the same institution, where she gained valuable experience as a graduate student intern at the Health Equity Institute and as a Graduate Research Assistant under Emma Sanchez-Vaznaugh. Prior to pursuing her graduate studies, Maia became a board-certified nutrition consultant through Bauman College in Berkeley. Driven by her belief in health equity and a keen interest in evidence-based policy change, Maia is dedicated to improving health outcomes for marginalized communities, particularly in relation to food and healthcare accessibility. Looking ahead, Maia is committed to further developing her research skills with a focus on food systems and health equity.
