Jessica Wolin
Jessica Wolin, MPH, MCRP, is the HEI Associate Director of Community Practice and Lecturer in Health Education at San Francisco State University (SFSU). Jessica has over 25 years of experience in public health program development, implementation and evaluation, including extensive experience providing technical assistance to public agencies and CBOs. Prior to joining the faculty at SFSU, Jessica served in leadership and consulting roles at the San Francisco Department of Public Health, the Alameda County Public Health Department and several local non-profit public health organizations. Jessica is the co-founder of the Women's Community Clinic, the only free clinic for women in San Francisco.
Jessica’s work focuses on community engaged research, “research justice” and on the intersection of housing and health. Since 2007, Jessica has overseen SF State Master of Public Health student collaboration with organizations to conduct community based research projects and develop public health interventions. She teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in community assessment, program planning, health policy and public health professional practice. In 2014, Jessica was awarded San Francisco State’s Jefferson Award in recognition of her work in collaboration with communities in the Bay Area.
