Acerca de Hermanos de Luna y Sol
Hermanos de Luna y Sol es una intervención en español para los hombres, Latinos, inmigrantes que se identifican como homosexuales, bisexuales o hombres que tienen relaciones sexuales con hombres.
¿Por qué este estudio?
- Latinos inmigrantes quien se identifican como gay, bisexuales o hombres que tienen sexo con hombres son afectados de manera desproporcionada por el VIH.
- Los inmigrantes Latinos frecuentemente enfrentan obstáculos como el idioma, la discriminación y el racismo. Esta barreras pueden afectar la salud antes, durante y después de la inmigración a los Estados Unidos.
¿Qué pasará si participo?
- La participación en este estudio será por un período de 15 meses.
- Durante esos meses, te pediremos que completes 5 cuestionarios por la línea internet.
- El studio se llevará a cabo en Oakland, California y en Chicago, Illinois.
¿A quién beneficiará esto?
- La participación en este estudio no te traerá beneficios directos.
- El estudio va a poder aumentar la información sobre las intervenciones que podrían ser más efectivas para la salud sexual entre los hombres Latinos inmigrantes que se identifican como homosexuales, bisexuales o que tienen relaciones sexuales con hombres.

About Hermanos de Luna y Sol
Hermanos de Luna y Sol is an intervention in Spanish for Latino immigrant men who identify as either gay, bisexual or men who have sex with men.
Why is this study being done?
- Latino gay, bisexual and men who have sex with men remain disproportionately affected by HIV.
- Latino immigrant men frequently face obstacles to health care such as language barriers, discrimination, and institutional racism before, during and after migration to the United States.
What will happen if I participate?
- Participation in this study will be for a period of 15 months.
- During those months, we will ask you to complete 5 questionnaires online.
- The study will take place in Oakland, California and Chicago, Illinois.
Who will benefit from this?
- Participation in this study will not bring you direct benefits.
- The study will be able to increase information about interventions that may be most effective for sexual health among immigrant Latino men who identify as gay, bisexual or men who have sex with men.
