MPH Alum & Faculty Emeritus serve on leadership panel addressing homelessness
"Local leaders working to reduce homelessness, deliver basic human needs and advocate for the rights of this marginalized population came together for a May 3 panel sponsored by the College of Health & Social Sciences in partnership with SF State Alumni Relations. More than 70 students, faculty, staff and alumni came to hear from the distinguished panelists and engage in impassioned discussion about solving homelessness.
Speakers included Kelley Cutler (BASW, ’15), human rights organizer at Coalition on Homelessness; Roma Guy, retired lecturer at SF State’s Department of Health Education and former director of the Bay Area Homelessness Program; Justin Wellins (MPH, ’17), training coordinator at the SF Department of Public Health’s Homeless Outreach Team; and Aimée Williams, lead health educator at SF State Health Promotion & Wellness. The discussion was moderated by Nina Roberts, faculty director of SF State’s Institute for Civic and Community Engagement."
