Turalba selected as Graduate Equity Fellow 2020-2021

"Ruby N. Turalba (MPH '06) is a rising second-year doctoral student of the Ed.D. program in Educational Leadership at SF State. She reports that she “survived and thrived during this first year, while in the midst of a global pandemic!” Turalba also cares for two school-aged children, is an active parent leader at her kids’ school, and has been teaching in the Department of Health Education since 2010. She was awarded a University Scholarship and selected as a Graduate Equity Fellow for the 2020-2021 academic year. Her qualifying exam is titled, “Nagugutom sila/They’re hungry: Culturally and linguistically responsive pedagogy for Filipinx students.”
